摘要：Jerry L. Norman was one of the great Chinese historical and comparative dialectologists of our time. Throughout his career, which spanned the 50-year period from the mid-1960’s until his death in 2012, his life and work significantly changed the way we as Sinological linguists view and investigate Chinese linguistic history.
